What happens if your contract requires that you make 6 radio calls a minute on 6 different radio talk groups whilst simultaneously making Voice over IP telephone calls, analog telephone calls and special priority intercom calls but you are not allowed any human contact with the equipment? That is what Harris communications needed to do whilst one of their systems was going through EMI and Shock testing. They called us and we created a custom application to not only do this automatically but to indicate if the calls were succesful and log statistics of failures and when they occurred so they could provide this to their customer along with the test reports.

For FDi Systems this is normal daily work and we have created many one-off applications to do specialised testing or to simulate other systems. When the Australian Navy contracted one of our customers to create a specialised alarm system, our customer needed to be able to test it with the ship’s hardware, but since that was in Sydney Australia, they called on us to create a simulated alarm hardware input that could exercise their system and software application.
